Maia is a self-published author and medieval enthusiast from British Columbia, Canada. A writer since she was 10, Maia loves all forms of storytelling and art with many years spent in the theatrics. Thrown To The Wolves
I was engrossed from the beginning, and enjoyed so much having a book to read that I couldn't put down. The lovely understanding and telling of the wolves lives and Myra's experiences with them, and her dog, Laryn, really touched me.
There were twists and turns I wasn't expecting, and the outcome for one of the characters inparticular was inspiring, and showed the healing that comes of true love and compassion.
A great first book. I look forward to more in this Wolfborn series.
This book has an amazing female character at it's helm. She is strong and resourceful, empathetic and vibrant. This is an imaginative and thorough tale of a different time filled with people who are interesting and well formed. The inclusion of wolves as key characters enhance this story to make it even more compelling. What a wonderful way to lose yourself in a different world for a while.
I would recommend this book to readers who enjoyed The Clan of the Cave Bear series. Myra is a wonderful character and I hope that in future books in this series we will learn more about the time she spent in the woods.
